AI logo and brand kit: every file you actually need
Getting a logo is the easy part. The hard part comes a week later, when the printer asks for a vector file, the app store wants a 1024 px icon and your website needs a favicon. This guide lists every file a small brand needs and shows how an AI logo generator can produce the whole kit at once.
Why a logo alone is not enough
A logo is used in dozens of places: a shop sign, an Instagram profile picture, an invoice, an app icon, a browser tab, a sticker, a dark website header. Each place has its own shape, size and background. If you only have one PNG, you will end up stretching it, cropping it badly or putting a white box behind it on a dark background.
A brand kit solves this. It is the set of files and rules that lets anyone use your brand correctly.
The checklist: files a small brand needs
1. The logo in vector format (SVG)
A vector file is made of shapes, not pixels, so it stays sharp at any size, from a business card to a banner. Printers, sign makers and designers will ask for it. SVG opens in Figma, Illustrator, Inkscape and most design tools.
2. The logo as PNG in several sizes
PNG is for everyday use: documents, slides, websites, emails. Keep a few widths (for example 512, 1024 and 2048 px) with a transparent background, so you never have to scale a small file up.
3. A version for dark backgrounds
A dark logo disappears on a dark photo. You need a light or white version for dark backgrounds, in both SVG and PNG.
4. The icon (symbol) on its own
Many places are square and tiny: app icons, favicons, profile pictures. A long wordmark becomes unreadable there. Your brand needs the symbol alone, designed to be readable at 48 px.
5. App and web icons in every required size
If you have an app or a website, the platforms ask for specific files: Android launcher icons in several densities, an adaptive icon, a 512 px Play Store icon, an iOS AppIcon set with a 1024 px App Store icon, favicons, an Apple touch icon and a web manifest. 6. Profile pictures for social networks
Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, X, LinkedIn and WhatsApp show your profile picture in a circle. The important part must sit inside the centre circle.
7. Colours and fonts (the brand sheet)
Write down your colours as hex codes (for example #2F6B3A) and the fonts for headings and body text. Without this, every new flyer or post drifts a little further from the original look.

A README in the zip explains where each file goes. The wordmark's font is embedded in the SVG, so it keeps its shape on computers that don't have the font installed.
