How to design a mobile app with AI in 10 minutes

You have an app idea and no designer yet. In about ten minutes an AI app design generator can give you every main screen of the app, linked into a prototype you can show people. Here is exactly how to do it, from the first sentence to the export.

What you will have at the end

By the end of this walkthrough you will have:

• a page plan: the list of screens your app needs and what each one is for;
• every screen designed in one design system (colours, fonts, spacing, components);
• a clickable prototype you can present on your computer or phone;
• files to continue with: Figma layers, HTML, or a Flutter or Jetpack Compose UI kit.

The example below is a coffee ordering app, but the same steps work for a booking app, a marketplace, a fitness tracker or an internal tool.

Minute 0–2: write a brief the AI can work with

Open Lyxvo Design, pick App design and choose iOS or Android. Then describe the app in the composer. A strong brief has four parts:

1. What and for whom: "A coffee ordering app for Kopi Senja, a café near a university."
2. The main jobs: "Browse the menu, customise a drink, pay, follow the order."
3. Must-have screens: "Menu, product detail, cart, checkout, order status, profile."
4. The feel: "Warm, modern, cream and dark brown, rounded cards, big photos."

Put it together in one paragraph. You do not need special words; write it the way you would explain it to a designer.

Tip: if you already have a logo and brand colours, add them in the Brand panel (Brand → My brand). New designs then use them automatically.

Minute 2–3: check the page plan

Press the arrow. Before drawing anything, the agent writes a Page plan: each screen with a short purpose. This is the most important minute of the whole process, because it decides the flow.

Read it like a user would: open the app, find a drink, add it, pay, wait. Is anything missing? A login, an empty cart state, a "my orders" history? Add it with Add page and a short name, for example "Order history".

Minute 3–7: design every screen

Press Make all pages. The agent designs the screens one after another; the agent log on the right shows which page it is on ("2 of 7 pages"). You can stop at any time, or use Next page to go one screen at a time and look at each before continuing.

Each new screen uses the same design system and the same tab bar, so the app looks like one product rather than a collection of mockups. The agent also checks that a new screen does not repeat one you already have.

Minute 7–9: make it clickable and fix what you see

Press Present to open the prototype. Click the buttons: menu → product → cart → checkout. Buttons and tabs are linked to the screens they lead to.

If a button points to a screen that is not designed yet, Lyxvo tells you and offers Complete the flow, which designs those missing screens so the whole prototype clicks through.

Now fix what you noticed. Select a screen and type the change in the prompt box at the bottom:

• "Make the Add to cart button sticky at the bottom."
• "Show the price in rupiah, like Rp28.000."
• "Add a loyalty stamp card to the profile."

For small things, double-click the screen and edit directly: change a word, swap a photo from Uploads, nudge a card with the arrow keys. Right-click a screen for Variations if you want to compare three layouts, or Other platform version to get the Android version of an iOS screen.

Minute 9–10: share or export

Press Share to send a link. Work together invites people by email so you edit the same design live; a public link lets anyone view it without editing.

How to get better results

• One product per design. If you want a second app, start a new design. Mixing two products in one project confuses the plan.
• Name real content. "Iced palm sugar latte, Rp28.000" gives more realistic screens than "Product 1".
• Change one thing at a time. Short, specific requests are easier to check.
• Keep the flow complete. Before you show it to anyone, click every button once in Present mode.

What AI app design does not replace

An AI-designed prototype is perfect for testing an idea, pitching it and briefing developers. It does not test itself: show it to five people from your audience and watch where they hesitate. It also does not build the back end; logins, payments and data still need a developer or a no-code tool.
